 Mackenzie Carignan   

Mackenzie Carignan is a poet, teacher, and mother living in Colorado.
Her publications are numerous and include poetry published in Fourteen
HIlls, Hayden's Ferry Review, Moria, Cab/Net, Dusie, Briar Cliff
Review, Wicked Alice, Sugar Mule, Turntable & blue light, and
Mipoesias to name a few. Her collaborative poem "Helix" with Scott
Glassman was featured in the anthology, > 2: An Anthology of New
Collaborative Poetry and was also nominated for "Best of the Web"
honors. She also edits the online contemporary poetry journal
listenlight (at www.listenlight.net). She has collaborated with
various artists, including dancers, visual artists, and photographers.
Her passion for teaching writing is also alive and well, as evidenced
by her Ph.D. in English from University of Illinois at Chicago with an
emphasis in Creative Writing. She recently served as Visiting
Assistant Professor of English at Metro State College of Denver. She
is most inspired by husband, Brian, son Eliot, and new daughter Celeste.
